G.A.R.F. has trained advocates who are available 24 hours a day to provide emotional
support and explore options. G.A.R.F. staff assists with the filing of petitions for Family Violence
and Stalking Protection Orders. These provide temporary protection to individuals who are being
abused, threatened, or harassed.
- Community Education
G.A.R.F. offers educational presentations concerning domestic violence and sexual assault
to organizations and agencies. G.A.R.F's youth volunteer team, "The Peer Players
" perform dramatic skits and interactive presentations on the issues that affect young

Shelter is available for female victims of domestic violence and/or sexual
assault and their children. Alternative shelter is available for male victims. The location of
the safehouse is confidential and the building has a well-developed security system to increase

children to express their feelings and develop safety plans. The child advocate is also
available to work with parents.
